Protect Your Home And Gutter With Gutter Protectors
I don’t know about you, but my single most-hated job as a teen growing up in the 90s was cleaning my dad’s gutters. Not only did the guy refuse to invest in gutter protectors, he also used the very same antique ladder my great grandfather used to build the house in the first place. We’re talking Depression-era ladder here, folks. The thing would creak and sway in the wind as I climbed fifteen feet in the air just to unclog a stupid rooftop gutter that wouldn’t even need cleaning if the old man just forked over the dough for a simple gutter protector. See, gutter protectors do just that: protect gutters from getting clogged with debris, dirt, leaves, and sticks. They prevent the problem from even developing so that homeowners – or their unwitting sons – never have to climb up a dangerous ladder and risk life and limb just to clean out a filthy old gutter.
Installing a gutter protector on your rooftop gutter is a no brainer, as far as I’m concerned. It saves money – either by avoiding doctors’ bills for broken limbs incurred by falling from great heights while cleaning gutters or by not having to fork out hundreds of dollars to pay a cleaning crew to do the nasty job for you. It saves time – no more spending all weekend long fighting with your kid to climb up that rickety ladder to clean the gutters, or doing it yourself. It saves home value – no one wants to buy a home with broken down rooftop gutters without a gutter protector, and a flooded lawn and ruined garden is not a pretty sight.
Having gutter protectors is just the easiest, most cost effective way to protect your home and yard from elements. Sure, you might have to clean off the gutter protector every now and then, but at least you won’t be clearing dams and killing yourself in the process anymore.
